Speech Bubble Development
As fond as I am of the plant fight scene I decided to move onto a different aspect of the animation, namely the dialogue and speech bubbles. I’m fairly certain there is going to be no audible spoken words in the animation so I’m going to deal with dialogue by using cartoon style speech bubbles, enhancing the feel that the animation is set inside a comic strip.
The above is my first attempt at designing some speech bubbles and creating a reusable animation platform with ActionScript to display them (via the Tweener Class). I’m quite pleased with how it’s come out. You’ll have to excuse the blatant bias of the dialogue, my flatmate wrote it…
